Support for Family and Friends
Al-Anon/Alateen
“The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. A support group to help you gain insight and balance if your life has been affected by someone else's drinking.”
Adult Children of Alcoholics
“Adult Children of Alcoholics is an anonymous Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program of women and men who grew up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional home. We meet with each other in a mutually respectful, safe environment and acknowledge our common experiences. We discover how childhood affected us in the past and influences us in the present. We take positive action. By practicing the Twelve Steps, focusing on The Solution, and accepting a loving Higher Power of our understanding, we find freedom from the past and a way to improve our lives today.”
Parents Forever
“A professionally supported mutual support group for parents and family members of adult addicted children (18 years of age and up). Parents Forever provides a safe and confidential place for parents and family members to come together on a regular basis to share their experiences, their wisdom and their courage. Parents and family members learn new ways of coping including how to remain ever hopeful, with no expectations."

Co-dependents Anonymous
"Co-Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships. The only requirement for membership is a desire for healthy and fulfilling relationships. We gather together to support and share with each other in a journey of self-discovery — learning to love the self. Living the program allows each of us to become increasingly honest with ourselves about our personal histories and our own codependent behaviours."
